Terms and Conditions

The Carrier Agrees to transport the property described herein is the subject and conditions prescribed by the public commercial vehicles act regulations or the province of origin, except as hereinafter provided and in accordance with the rules thereof accepts this receipt. By accepting this delivery both consignee and consignor hereby agree to be liable jointly and severely for payment of delivery charge to the carrier.


If priority type is not clearly marked on face of bill of landing IMMEDIATE delivery rate will be applied.

Declared Value of Shipment

Carrier’s liability for any loss damage or injury to a shipment shall not exceed the lesser of $1.50 per pound or $50.00 unless:

  1. The shipper and career specifically agree otherwise in writing and shippers or class of shippers is named carrier cargo insurance policy; or
  2. A higher value is declared on the face of the bill of landing by the consignor, and an additional transportation charge of 2% of such higher declared value, is paid to the carrier. The carrier shall not be required to accept any shipment with a declared value in excess of $500, unless agreed to prior in writing by the carrier.

Notice of Damage

Notice of loss or damage must be given to the carrier at its regional office or its head office within (24) hours after such loss becomes known, and in writing within (30) days after the shipment is accepted by the carrier. NOTE: No Liability for loss or damage will be accepted by the carrier unless written notice of such loss or damage is received within thirty days after the shipment is accepted by the carrier.
